About me

If you want it bad enough, you’ll find a way.

Jim Rohn

Meggy — that’s me. I grew up in the middle of the countryside in Upper Bavaria, close to the Austrian border. Born in 1994, I’m a true summer child. I love village life, and yet I’m anything but quiet — actually, I’m pretty loud, almost rebellious.

I started playing drums when I was 10 years old and was lucky enough to have seven years of awesome drum lessons with an amazing teacher. After that, my own journey began. When I turned 18, I joined my first band.

Oh yeah — a rock band, of course!

Over the next few years, I played in different bands and took part in drum contests, both locally and online. I also started a YouTube channel, which, to be honest, didn’t exactly take off. I had no idea what I was doing with cameras or audio recording. And then there was the editing…

Later, I joined Barney Five, where I played for five years, among other projects. We had some really cool gigs, and I gained valuable experience both on stage and in the studio.

At some point, though, I increasingly felt the need to focus on my own projects. So, alongside my regular full-time job, I started consistently uploading YouTube videos and creating Instagram Reels and TikTok content.

At the same time, I started a distance-learning program in Audio Engineering at HOFA-College. I’ve since successfully completed HOFA-Complete, and I still take the occasional short course whenever there’s something that catches my interest.

In the end, I left Barney Five with one eye crying and the other smiling — because I knew exactly why I was doing it:

I need time for my own big projects!

Building my studio — 2022

It was time to make another dream a reality: I started building my own recording studio and rehearsal space. And yes — I created a whole separate page for this, including a dedicated video series documenting the journey.
